ASUS announces ZenFone Max with 5,000mAh battery!

The phone can serve as power bank to charge other smartphones.
ASUS on Thursday took the wraps off the ZenFone Max, a smartphone with humble specs but carrying a whopping 5,000mAh battery inside at its ZenFestival event held in New Delhi. Interestingly this was the company's first global announcement in India. On the downside, it was just an announcement and not an official launch.
The company decided to keep much of the details of the ZenFone Max under wraps, including the price. It however gave us an insight into some of the features of the smartphone.
To begin with, the ZenFone Max will have a slim 5.2mm design frame which is remarkable since it has a huge 5,000mAh battery inside. We don't know for sure about its display resolution yet, but the company has said the Max will come with a 5.5-inch screen.
The phone will be powered by a 64bit Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and will support 4G LTE Cat 4, dual SIM and dual standby.
It will sport a 13MP rear camera with laser autofocus along with a 5MP front facing camera.
The Max will have a premium leather finish on the back along with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protective covering on the front.
Moreover, the phone can serve as power bank to charge other smartphones.
