Chinese company Meizu on Wednesday launched its flagship MX5 smartphone in India at a price of Rs.19,999. The MX5 will go on sale for the first time on Wednesday itself, starting at 2PM exclusively via Snapdeal.
The Meizu MX5 was recently launched in China and has a full-metal body measuring 7.6 mm and149 grams. It comes with a physical home button on the front that houses the mTouch 2.0 fingerprint sensor that takes only 0.48 seconds to unlock the phone, according to the company.
On the specifications front, the MX5 has a 5.5-inch FullHD Super AMOLED display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB RAM.
The MX5 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box with the company's own Flyme 4.5 OS on top. The dualSIM phone supports 4G LTE on both SIMs.
It sports a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus and dual-tone LED flash along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The phone uses a 3,150mAh battery and supports quick charging.
Meizu had earlier launched the M1 Note in India at Rs.12,000 exclusively via Amazon. The M1 Note's successor, the M2 Note was recently launched by the company in China.
