Streaming Xbox One games to Windows 10 PCs is about to get a performance boost, as Microsoft has confirmed its August update to the Xbox app adds support for streaming games in 1080p at 60 frames-per-second.
According to Major Nelson's blog, the update, which starts rolling out today, adds a number of other noteworthy features as well, including the ability to enable/disable notifications when in an online game or party.
The August update also allows players to compare Achievements with friends, and remedies a few of the issues Windows 10 users were having, including problems related to signing in, localization, and game streaming.
While Xbox One owners can stream games to their Windows 10 PC, the reverse is not yet possible. However, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has confirmed that Microsoft is looking into making it a reality.
Keyboard and mouse support for Xbox One is in the works as well, an update that will certainly prove useful if/when Windows 10-to-Xbox One streaming does arrive.
