Apple has also added 4K video recording and a new feature called 'live photos', which are very similar to GIF images.
The headline feature of the iPhone 6S is a new type of pressure sensitive display technology that Apple calls 3D Touch. According to the company, when a user depresses and applies pressure on the screen, depending on the intensity, the screen will show either a contextual menu, or preview an app or fully open it.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 6S start on September 16 in the US and it goes on sale in 10 countries on September 25. Apple says that it plans to launch the new iPhone in 130 countries by the end of the year. This also means that the phone will likely come to India before the end of the year.
