The LG V10, the smartphone for people who like to have two of everything two screens and two front cameras, to be precise will begin shipping "this week," according to the company.
The device will first come to the U.S., China and Hong Kong, followed by a wider release in the key markets of North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and the Commonwealth of Independent States in the next two months.
In the U.S., we already know we can get the V10 from T-Mobile, which officially launches it today (Friday, and AT&T, which will join the party Nov. 6.
The 5.7-inch smartphone is special in several ways. First, besides its regular QuadHD display, it has a secondary, separate, always-on screen on top, showing time and notifications as well as giving the user access to various apps and settings.
The phone also has two 5-megapixel cameras on front, enabling ultra-wide selfies or, if you're ready to adopt LG's lingo, groufies.
The rest of the phone's specs are up there with the best Androids we've seen: a stainless-steel frame with a shock-absorbing Dura Guard material on the back, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 4GB of RAM, 16-megapixel rear camera and 64GB of storage (expandable to 200GB with a memory card).
