MIUI 7 is now stable and rolling!

Chinese company Xiaomi on Tuesday started rolling out the new stable MUI 7 update for its phones and tablet. MIUI 7 is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is now available for download and install for the Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Pad, Mi Note, Redmi 1S 3G, Redmi Note 4G and  Redmi 2/ Prime.
"We are really excited to announce MIUI 7 global stable build for MIUI fans all around the world. With two months of testing and optimization, MIUI 7 global stable version is now rolling out," the company announced on its MIUI forum.
Most users will be able to download (and install) the update as an OTA file MIUI V7.0.5.0KXDMICI (666MB). This can be manually checked via the Updater app on the respective MIUI 5/MIUI6-based devices.
ROM packages are also available should users want to jump the gun and take matters into their own hands. There's also an option to install the latest update using Mi PC Suite.
Meanwhile, those running a developer version of MIUI 7 can't use the OTA method to update. They will have to flash the full ROM. Xiaomi suggests you back up all your data beforehand, just in case things go wrong.
According to Xiaomi, MIUI 7 offers 30% faster system response speed and 10% longer battery life on supporting devices, over MIUI 6.
