WhatsApp introduces 'starred messages' feature that lets you bookmark important messages!

You no longer need to take screenshots of your conversations or scroll through chats to find that one piece of information your friend shared with you days or weeks ago.
With thousands of messages exchanged each day, it gets difficult to keep a track of little pieces of information which might not be of our use immediately but are required later. In our WhatsApp wishlist, we had asked for a feature that allows for bookmarking messages and search in chat windows.
Granting the wish, WhatsApp has introduced the much-needed starred message feature to its latest iOS version 2.12.9 which lets you mark any message with a star so that you can easily find it later.
The starred messages appear in the contact info section as a separate folder and tapping on the messages listed here will take you exactly to the chat when that particular message was sent. So, no more scrolling and no more screenshots.
Starred messages also appear in their own section in search results.
Other than the starred messages feature, the new version also adds a chat icon to the earlier read/unread feature.
With the coming of the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus with the 3D Touch feature, WhatsApp has further tweaked its iOS app to support the new display technology. With the 3D Touch-enabled WhatsApp, all you need to do is tap on the WhatsApp app with varying degrees to trigger options for search, new message, etc.
It further supports the ‘Peek and Pop’ feature for pictures, videos, links, contact cards, and locations exchanged in chats.
