Xiaomi reveals upcoming Note 2 Pro with fingerprint scanner

Xiaomi is gearing up for its big event on November 24. The company is expected to launch the new flagship Xiaomi Mi 5 phone and the Note 2 pro, which will be the successor to the Note Pro launched last year. While we don't know how the Mi 5 looks like, now we have some idea about the Note 2 Pro. The Xiaomi president Lin Bin has shared an image of the upcoming phone at a Chinese social media site.
The phone seems to have an extremely slim body along with overly rounded edges and a fingerprint scanner on the back, similar to what we saw in the recently launched Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P. The phone also has a dual-LED flash.
Earlier a leak, which was based on the information from Chinese phone certification body TENAA, had revealed the hardware inside the Xiaomi Note 2 Pro. According to the specifications at the TENAA site, the Note 2 Pro would come with a 5.5-inch screen. This screen will have a resolution of 1080p.
The phone is likely to carry a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, 2GB RAM and 3060mAh battery. It will have at least 16GB internal storage and will be powered by MediaTek's MT6795 aka Helio X10 chipset. It will, just like other Xiaomi phones, run MIUI operating system, which is based on Android.
When Xiaomi launched the Note Pro last year, the device created a lot of buzz because it offered top of the line hardware and design at a very mainstream prices. The same is likely to be true of the Note 2 Pro. However, the company didn't launch the Note Pro in India. And for now we are not sure if the Note 2 Pro would be offered here or not.
However, the Mi 5 is something that we should get and fairly early considering Xiaomi is trying to seemingly slow sale of its devices in India.
