Two new Xiaomi devices have reportedly passed Tenaa, the Chinese telecommunications certification authority. The listings reveal some specifications and images of the alleged devices codenamed as Mi 2016030 and Mi 2015115.
Notably, the unannounced Mi 2016030 and Mi 2015115 smartphones look identical to the current Xiaomi Redmi 3 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 respectively tipping we may have the first look at the successors. Both the handsets can be seen featuring fingerprint scanners on their back panels.
According to the Tenaa listing, the Mi 2016030 features a 5" HD (720x1280p) LCD display, 1.4GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage, a 13MP rear camera, and an 8MP front camera. The listing claims that the Mi 2016030 will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and will pack 2850mAh battery. It is said to come with dimensions 139.3x69.6x8.5mm and weigh 143 grams. A report claims that the Mi 2016030 could be launched as Xiaomi Redmi 3A.
Considering that the Xiaomi Redmi 3 smartphone was priced at CNY 699 (approximately Rs. 7,000) at launch. We can expect the alleged Redmi 3A smartphone to be launched around this price point.
The alleged Redmi Note 3 successor listed as the Mi 2015115, on the other hand, is said to feature a 5.5" full-HD (1080x1920p) display, 1.8GHz hexa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of inbuilt storage. The handset is listed to sport a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The handset packs a large 4000mAh battery and is seen running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop in the Tenaa listing. It measures 149.9x76x8.6mm and weighs roughly 166 grams.
