Samsung launches slimmest smartphone, Galaxy A8 in India

Samsung has taken the wraps off its slimmest Galaxy smart-phone yet, the A8 in India making the phone official here. The Galaxy A8 has been launched in India at a price of Rs.32,500.
At 5.9mm, the Galaxy A8 may not be the slimmest phones in the market, but it's the slimmest Galaxy phone ever from Samsung's stable.
The A8 with its ultra-thin metal-clad body has a near bezel-less design. The phone comes with a fingerprint scanner integrated into a physical home button on the front.  
The Galaxy A8 has a 5.7-inch FullHD Super AMOLED display with a 1920x1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Exynos 5430 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The phone comes with 32GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
The dualSIM smartphone runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box with Samsung's custom TouchWiz UI on top. The phone supports 4G LTE Cat6.
The A8 sports a 16MP rear autofocus camera with LED flash along with a 5MP front-facing camera with a 120 degrees wide-angle lens.
Connectivity options include: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and GLONASS. The phone is backed by a 3,050mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 will be available in the colours Black, White, and Gold.
